Seneca Gaming Corporation pleasantly surprised gaming enthusiasts with its latest partner in the face of the online gaming solutions provider GAN. The company’s efforts will be united in order to develop brand new and innovative desktop and mobile gaming solutions. This agreement will also allow Seneca Gaming Corporation’s patron to use GAN’s Simulated Gaming solutions on both desktop and mobile assets.
This solution is provided by GAN’s core Simulated Gaming software and will be able to provide marketing, brand building, and potential major revenue for all parties involved. Seneca Gaming Corporation currently operates three casinos in New York under the Seneca Nation of Indians’ jurisdiction. The first one being the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, then there is the Seneca Buffalo Creek in downtown Buffalo, and the last one being the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca.
Why GAN?
Seneca Gaming Corporation wanted to bring a more realistic and overall better gaming experience for the New York audiences. This is why the company replaced its former simulated gaming solution with GAN, which is one of the leading solution providers in the gaming business. GAN’s number one priority will be to rebrand the corporation’s social play-for fun offerings for desktop and mobile devices and provide marketing and customer services for both platforms.
Chief Commercial Officer of GAN Jeff Berman commented on the subject by expressing his excitement about the continued adoption of their Simulated Gaming software, and also that he is looking forward to working with Seneca Gaming Corporation in efforts to improve player experience. Mr. Berman also added that this joint project will allow the Crown corporation to develop better player insights which will open the way for new marketing and revenue possibilities.
Kevin Nephew, President & CEO of Seneca Gaming Corporation, praised GAN’s ability to develop customized solutions from the scratch, which made GAN more than a capable partner for the required task of improving the corporation’s existing gaming platform. He also admitted that he is excited about the possibility of relaunching the play-for-fun experience in the near future for gambling lovers.
Seneca Gaming New CEO
Not long ago Seneca Gaming was pleased to officially announce Kevin Nephew, as their brand-new Chief Executive Officer, who is tasked with the responsibility of leading the corporation to new horizons. This is no ordinary assignment since for the first time in the history of the tribal corporation it will be headed by a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians.
Governor Cuomo’s Proposed Budget
Due to the financial crisis, Governor Andrew Cuomo is looking for a way to compensate for the gambling industry revenue loss of the New York State. From Mr. Cuomo’s latest budget update, we learn that he may have found a way to generate the much-needed fund injection for the upcoming fiscal year. His plan is heavily reliant on the Seneca Nation of Indians who is yet to pay its NY-state the long-overdue tax payments.
Estimations project amount to over US$450 million of unpaid slot-machine revenue taxes, that the tribal gaming corporation owes the state of New York. However, Seneca Nation of Indians’ argument is that the corporation has met their requirement of the 2002 compact with the state, and it is in fact the state that had made amendments to the existing contract.
